Just follow these 8 quick steps to get started.

• Your profile is your identity to other EMOTERS(members), fill it out and don’t forget an Avatar!
• Notice on emote is called a ‘DOT’. Subscribe to the authors of last 10 DOTs that appear in ‘Public Stream’.
• Explore the GROUPS and join/start a group based on your interest.
  (Note: After you join a group you can send DOTs to all other members using the syntax “!groupname“).
• Connect your account to gtalk/jabber and send and receive updates on gtalk/jabber. You can configure gtalk/jabber HERE.
• DOT a LOT! write your views, share your feelings for anything to everything, use yahoo smiley codes. This will give opportunity to others to know you more and engage in conversations.
• Reply a LOT! emoters are friendly; so just do not hesitate at all to reply to any conversation you feel like joining.
  (Note: You can reply to another member using the syntax “@membername”)
• INVITE your friends, this will give you a little bit of ease in the beginning.
• Take a peek at the ‘Public Stream’ sometimes a day and join the conversation.

Building a community takes little time & effort.
